US Wealth Manager Acquired by Stanford

EFP Wealth Management, a Mississippi-based financial advisory firm, said yesterday that it has merged with Houston-based Stanford Private Wealth Management. EFP was founded in Jackson, Mississippi, 21 years ago and employs seven advisors and 12 associates "In our commitment to build a nationwide, full-service wealth management company, we look to bring on board seasoned, high-level executives that understand the level of service and experience that Stanford demands," Stanford chief financial officer James Davi said in a statement. "In the case of our desire to open an office and build our business in Jackson, we've found an entire team that is ideally suited to help us achieve our growth goals for this market." Stanford employs around 3,000 professionals who serve more than 90,000 clients in 102 countries in North and South America, the Caribbean and Europe.
